Who We Are
This website, stofftcooneyarchitecture.com (the “Site”), is operated jointly by two affiliated architecture firms:
- Stofft Cooney Architects, [FULL LEGAL ENTITY NAME, e.g. Stofft Cooney Architects, LLC], with offices in Delray Beach and Naples, Florida
- Stofft Architectural Group, a registered fictitious name of Randall Stofft Architects, [ENTITY TYPE, e.g. Inc., P.A., or LLC], with offices in [OFFICE LOCATIONS]
Throughout this Policy, “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to both firms collectively, and each firm individually where the context requires. The two firms are separate legal entities under common ownership and leadership, and they share this Site as a common point of contact and portfolio presentation.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It applies only to the Site. It does not apply to information collected offline, to information you provide directly to either firm outside the Site, or to any third party website you reach by following a link from the Site.
Information Sharing Between Our Firms
Because the Site is operated jointly, information you submit through the Site may be received, accessed, and used by both firms. When you send an inquiry, it is routed to whichever firm is best suited to respond based on the nature and location of your project, and personnel at either firm may review it in the course of doing so.
Both firms apply this Policy to information received through the Site. If you would prefer that your inquiry be directed to only one of the firms, please say so in your message or contact that firm directly using the details in the Contact section below.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
The only way to submit personal information through the Site is by completing our contact form, which is hosted and processed by Typeform. Submitting the form is entirely voluntary and requires you to affirmatively enter your information and click to submit it. Through that form we may collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Details about a project or inquiry you choose to describe
- Any other information you choose to include
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not collect payment information through the Site.
If you email or call either firm using the contact details on the Site, we will have whatever information you choose to include in that message.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically by our hosting provider and, subject to your cookie choices, by analytics or advertising technologies. This may include:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed, time spent on those pages, and links clicked
- The website or search engine that referred you
- General geographic location inferred from IP address, at the city or region level
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not knowingly collect, and do not ask for, information about your health, finances, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, immigration status, precise geolocation, or biometric identifiers. We do not collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, or financial account numbers through the Site.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies. Where required, non-essential cookies are set only after you provide consent through our cookie banner, and you may change or withdraw that consent at any time.
A full description of the cookies and trackers used on the Site, what they do, who receives the data, and how long they persist, is available in our Cookie Policy.
How We Use Information
Either firm may use the information described above to:
- Respond to inquiries and communicate with you about a potential or ongoing project
- Determine which firm is best positioned to assist you
- Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the Site
- Understand which pages and projects visitors find useful so we can improve the Site
- Send you updates or marketing communications, but only where you have asked to receive them
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical problems
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Beyond the sharing between our two firms described above, we share information only in these circumstances:
Service providers. We use third party vendors to operate the Site and our businesses. These currently include our web hosting provider, Typeform (contact form processing), and, subject to your consent, our analytics provider. These vendors may process your information only to perform services for us.
Project collaborators. Where you have engaged one of our firms and it is necessary to advance your project, your contact information may be shared with consultants, engineers, contractors, or other professionals working on it.
Professional advisors. Our attorneys, accountants, and insurers, where reasonably necessary.
Legal requirements. Where we are required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or valid request from a public authority, or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of others.
Business transfers. If either firm is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure it remains subject to protections consistent with this Policy.
With your consent. In any other case, only if you direct or authorize us to.
Data Retention
We keep contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry, to maintain a record of our business relationship, and to comply with our legal, insurance, and professional recordkeeping obligations. Automatically collected analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of our analytics provider, described in our Cookie Policy. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. The Site is served over an encrypted connection, and our contact form provider maintains its own security measures. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
Cookies. You can accept, reject, or change your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in the Site footer. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect how parts of the Site function.
Marketing. If you receive marketing email from either firm, you may unsubscribe using the link in the message or by contacting us directly.
Access, correction, and deletion. You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. A single request submitted to the privacy contact below will be handled across both firms, so you do not need to contact each one separately. We will respond within a reasonable time. Some information may need to be retained where we have a legal, insurance, or professional obligation to keep it.
Browser signals. The Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, as no common industry standard for those signals has been established.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third Party Links
The Site contains links to third party websites, including Google Maps, Instagram, and other websites operated by or associated with our firms. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Their privacy policies govern any information you provide to them.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date above. Material changes will be noted on this page. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
