Cookie Policy
Effective Date: 04/21/2021 Last Updated: 07/11/2026
What This Policy Covers
This Cookie Policy explains how Stofft Cooney Architects and Randall Stofft Architects, d/b/a Stofft Architectural Group (together, “we,” “us,” or “our”) use cookies and similar technologies on stofftcooneyarchitecture.com (the “Site”), what those technologies do, and how you can control them.
The Site is operated jointly by both firms, and the cookie practices described here apply to the Site as a whole. This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how information collected through the Site is shared between the two firms.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is being used.
We also use, or may use, related technologies that work similarly:
- Pixels and tags, small pieces of code that record that a page was loaded
- Local storage, which stores data in your browser rather than in a cookie file
- Software development kits and embedded content, such as our contact form and mapping features, which may set their own cookies
Throughout this policy, “cookies” refers to all of these.
Your Consent
When you first visit the Site, a banner asks you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically because the Site cannot function without them. All other categories are set only if you consent.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking Cookie Settings in the Site footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect data collected before you withdrew it.
Your consent choice applies to the entire Site and to both firms. You do not need to set preferences separately for each.
Categories of Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary. Required for the Site to work. These handle security, load balancing, and remembering your cookie preferences. They cannot be switched off.
Functional. Remember choices you make, such as region or display preferences, to improve your experience. Optional.
Analytics and performance. Help us understand which pages visitors view, how they arrive at the Site, and where they encounter problems, so we can improve it. Optional.
Advertising and targeting. Used to measure the performance of marketing campaigns and, in some cases, to show relevant advertising on other platforms. Optional.
[BEFORE PUBLISHING: delete any category above that the Site does not actually use. If either firm runs advertising pixels for its own marketing, those need to appear here and in the table below. A policy that describes trackers you do not use is as much of a problem as one that omits trackers you do.]
Cookies Currently in Use
| Cookie or technology | Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| [NAME] | [PROVIDER] | Strictly necessary | [PURPOSE] | [DURATION] |
| [NAME] | [PROVIDER] | Functional | [PURPOSE] | [DURATION] |
| [NAME] | [PROVIDER] | Analytics | [PURPOSE] | [DURATION] |
| [NAME] | [PROVIDER] | Advertising | [PURPOSE] | [DURATION] |
[BEFORE PUBLISHING: fill this table from an actual scan of the Site, not from memory. Complianz will scan the Site and generate and auto-update this table for you, which is the better option because it stays accurate as plugins change. If you use it, replace this table with its shortcode. Note that if the two firms run separate analytics properties or separate ad pixels on the shared Site, every one of them has to be listed.]
Third Party Cookies
Some cookies on the Site are set by third parties rather than by us. These may include our analytics provider, our contact form provider, embedded mapping services, and embedded social media content. We do not control these cookies, and the data they collect is governed by those companies’ own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them.
Managing Cookies Through Your Browser
In addition to our cookie banner, you can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you view what cookies are stored, delete them individually or entirely, and block them from being set. Instructions are available in the help documentation for Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
Blocking all cookies may cause parts of the Site to stop working correctly.
You can also opt out of certain analytics collection using tools provided by the analytics vendors themselves, such as Google’s browser add-on for Google Analytics.
Do Not Track
The Site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, because no consistent industry standard for handling them has been adopted. You can still control cookies using the banner and the browser settings described above.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the technologies used on the Site change. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date above.
